911 System Response

We operate within the Suffolk County 911 System. The system is a mixture of urban, suburban and rural communities and encompasses 10 towns and 1.5 million residents. We respond to the bulk of our EMS alarms within the 5th division which is Brookhaven Town.

Our primary area of response is the Hamlet of Mount Sinai, the Village of Belle Terre, and the Village of Port Jefferson. We also Provide Primary Advanced Life Support to the Miller Place Fire District.

In addition we respond to our other neighboring districts with basic and advanced life support services as part of the county mutual aid plan, and by special request in the event of a large scale incident or disaster. Last year, we fielded over 1600 requests for service and handled numerous stand-bys.
