Aris Gonell has been a part of Port Jefferson EMS since 2006 working as a Senior Paramedic, Paramedic Supervisor and subsequently became the Director of Operations in 2014. As the Director of Operations, Aris is responsible for the day to day operations, logistics and project developments of Port Jefferson EMS and was one of the members that spearheaded, developed and implemented our community paramedicine pilot program. At Port Jefferson EMS, he has changed and refined the management of equipment by standardizing and compartmentalizing how Port Jefferson EMS exchanges and replaces medication and supplies.
Aris is a critical care paramedic with 22 years of experience in EMS that includes working in the high volume NYC 911 system as well as a critical care inter-facility transport system. Aris has over 15 years of teaching experience as an ACLS, BCLS and PALS instructor working for Beth Israel Medical center and Learn ACLS LLC. He was one of the first paramedics in Suffolk County to become RSI accredited.
Aris also works as a Critical Care Paramedic for Northwell Health with responsibilities that include treating and transporting, high acuity patients, responding to Nassau and Suffolk county 911 calls, and community paramedicine response for the health system.He currently resides in Miller Place with his wife and children.
