Kathleen Johnson

Kathleen has been with Port Jefferson EMS since 2004. She first served on the board in 2006 as Secretary. She continued her dedication to PJEMS serving as Assistant Chief 2007-2012, Chief of Department 2013, Vice President 2014 and currently as President since 2015.

Kathleen became an EMT in 2005 and a Critical Care EMT in 2006. In 2008 she began her teaching career with Suffolk County EMS as a Practical Works Instructor. She then went on to become a Clinical Lab Instructor and is now working on her internship to becoming a Certified Instructor Coordinator.

Kathleen has been an integral part of the advancement and progressiveness of Port Jefferson EMS. Kathleen has an A.A. in Early Childhood Education, a B.A. in Psychology and a Masters in Public Administration from Stony Brook University. Kathleen is currently employed with Suffolk County for over 20 years.

She lives locally and is therefore able to devoted immeasurable hours towards the development and evolution of the Agency.
